Traffic Targeted Content
Giving your visitor interesting content that keeps them interested and gives them a reason to come back in the future is called creating traffic targeted content. Here are some guidelines that will help you create traffic targeted content.
1) Maintain their Interest
As you should know by now there are thousands of people out there just like you and me that spend countless hours every year surfing the web. Most of the time when a reader is surfing the web using a search engine like Google for example, they are either looking information on a subject or a place to buy a product they’ve been looking for online. You have to be able to provide good site content or they’ll just hit that back button and visit another site.
2) Establish Return Visitors
After a visitor has visited your site the first time, give them a reason to come back or subscribe to your news feed. This will help you maintain consistent traffic over time which will help your search engine optimization and well as give you multiple opportunities to profit off a return visitor.
3) Keep to a Specific Subject
Search engines look at a lot of things when determining how high your website ranks in SERPs, an acronym for Search Engine Ranking Positions. For example, if you’re site is about Buying a Home you shouldn’t be writing articles or creating pages on the hottest new video games on the market. These probably aren’t the visitors you’re trying to target and additionally search engines will notice this mixed content and rank you lower in SERPs. This will help you establish content related traffic.
4) Create Visitor Trust
I’m not sure if you’ve seen them but in in 2008 it’s hard not to come across a 1 page website trying to sell you the hottest new product or money making system on the internet. Most of these sites scream Snake-Oil Salesman right away and you can clearly see from the single page site that they may not have much to offer. It’s always a good idea to give your visitor good solid content that will not over sell them but touch basis while showing your knowledge about the subject.
5) Increased Conversion
If a visitor truely enjoys your content or it’s helpful to them you’ll see an increase in conversion rates. This is that when you’re trying to inspire an action from a visitor they’ll do that action more often. This could be anything from clicking a link or subscribing to your newsletter.
