This isn’t a new question, webmasters continue to ask how often should you update your blog for seo to increase your rankings in the search engines. Most niche marketers would probably agree that the more you update your blog with fresh relative content, the more frequently you’ll be indexed by major search engines and they may increase your ranking accordingly. Also the more you update your blog the more content you’ll have on your niche site – which means more pages to be indexed, more content for your visitors and more ways for you to be ranked.

Now even blogs that are full of computer generated content such as autoblogs, niche article feeds, and spun content will get traffic eventually. If you generate your content you’ll have more pages indexed and a lot more content but to the search engines it won’t appear to be high quality content or at least it shouldn’t according to them. Usually the more often you update your blog the more SEO benefits your website will receive in time.

Some things to consider when updating your blog

- Do it as frequently as you have time.
- If you don’t have time, consider hiring cheap labor to do it for you.
- Quality is better than quantity, I have sites with 10 pages that rank at the top spot for multiple keywords.
- Try to create your own unique content and make it relevant to your niche market.
- Once you’ve updated your blog with new content, build links for SEO benefits.

If you don’t update your blog, will you still gain an seo benefit?

The answer to this question is most definitely yes, all the major search engines take in to consideration how long your sit has been indexed and factor this in their SEO algorithm. It’s better to have your site hosted and indexed on the web, even if you’re not actively building links for seo for this reason alone. Getting your site setup, creating your first content and backlinks is the single most important thing you can do in niche marketing.

Update your blog for SEO and relative content

So the more you update, the more chances you have to rank on Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc and the more relative content you’ll have on your site related to your niche. I hope this answers your question on how often to update your blog for seo because I’m ready for bed but I wanted to get another update on this blog – if you know what I mean!

The most important skill you’ll need to gain organic traffic from the search engines is building links for SEO consistently over time. As you probably know SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and refers to ranking your website. SEO is the best method to gain organic traffic referred by major search engines with millions of visitors daily.

About Building Links for SEO and organic traffic

Understand that building links will rank your website in the search engines for the keywords you’re trying to target. You probably won’t rank immediately for competitive keywords but over time with quality link building you can and will rank on the first page of Google.

5 Tips when Building Links for SEO

1. Build links using proper anchor text for the keyword you’re trying to target.
2. Create DoFollow links coming from aged respected sites or quality content.
3. Place your links within related content for the keyword you’re trying to target.
4. Quality over quantity, your site will have much more authority when links come from respected sites.
5. Don’t build all your links at once, create new links daily and scale up over time.

Building Links for SEO methods and strategies

You can manually submit your links to link directories and there are a lot of servers out there that will automate the submission process. Another popular method is trading links with other website owners with related content on their website. If you’re building links for SEO from related content you’re much more likely to gain respect for authenticity from the most popular search engines. Additionally you can rank your site in the search engines using free blogs and other web 2.0 content. Usually building links for seo using free methods is just as effective if you’re creative and your profit margins will be much larger.

So I gave in and purchased the 30 day free trial of the keyword academy and after going through it I’m posting this keyword academy review. Everyone has probably heard of courtney tuttle and his experience making money online. He is the major player behind the keyword academy and the content is personally written by him and his business parter.

My overall Keyword Academy Review and analysis

Now there are a lot of sites out there that feature a keyword academy review and as you may have heard already it is definitely worth the free 30 day trial. During the trial you’ll be walked through step by step how to do solid keyword research using Google’s keyword tool external. They introduce a CPC analysis formula based on Google adsense income that is very interesting.

At the Keyword Academy they teach basic link building and give you an outline of what do to, where to do it, and how fast you should build your links. Now for someone who hasn’t had much success in SEO the keyword academy system is quite amazing. My own personal opinion is that the keyword academy deserves a praiseworthy review and their product is definitely more than satisfying. Most of their content is based on building a WordPress site but if you are computer savvy at all I’d recommend Joomla using a yootheme template because it is extremely versatile.

Review the Keyword Academy for yourself with 30 days free

I’m not trying to promote this system nor am I saying that if you haven’t tried it out you truly have missed something special because the truth is that you haven’t. Court shows you where he thinks you should start to become the most successful and how to choose keywords that you can really rank for and receive traffic. If you don’t think the course is worth paying past 30 days then you should just download the videos and save the documents to come back to in the future if needed.

A review of the videos on the keyword academy and their text transcripts

The thing I enjoyed most is that at the keyword academy they managed to create a text transcript of everything that is said in the video, who said it and what it was about. This was very cool because if I was able to follow faster than the video could lead me than I could switch to the transcript to move on.

Now the videos on the keyword academy are great for a hands on step by step view of what they are trying to portray to you but they absolutely aren’t necessary if you’re able to comprehend just fine by reading the text they provide. As you can see I had a positive experience and I’ll give a 9/10 for the system on this keyword academy review.

Has your site been indexed in Google in the past? This article is going to explain to you how to tell if your website is in the sandbox. This is usually something that happens to new sites and doesn’t usually affect older established sites.

Were you ranking well in the search engines for quite a few keywords but all of a sudden you’re not getting the traffic you used to? It’s possible that you’re in the sandbox and Google has put you there. It is usually due to spamming backlinks to a brand new site or a variety of other things they would consider abuse.

Here is how to tell if your website is in the sandbox

Now it’s possible that you are completely innocent and shouldn’t be in the sandbox all together. I’ll help you figure out where or not you’re in the sandbox. As an example we’ll use this blog and show you some strategies to check to see if you’re included in the search engines. Now it’s time to show you how to tell if your website is in the sandbox using the search engine. The first step is to type in the url with no spaces.

Examples of how to tell if your website is in the sandbox and screenshots

Sandbox Example 1:

type “nichetitans”

As you can see nichetitans.com was included in the search results. Try this but with the name of your domain without any spaces. It’s possible if your domain name includes some highly competitive keywords you’ll have to be more specific.

Sandbox Example 2:

Be more specific – “nichetitans” or nichetitans.com or “nichetitans.com”

If you don’t find these results conclusive and you still don’t know how to tell if your website is in the sandbox then you can always manually look up to page 20 for a keyword you used to receive traffic from in the past.

Using Google Webmaster tools to ask Google to remove your website from the sandbox

So assuming you think your website is in the sandbox or if you aren’t sure than it’s probably a good idea to submit a reconsideration request using Google’s free webmaster tools. If you are in the sandbox this will definitely help and if you’re not then it can’t really hurt either way. Hopefully this has help show you how to tell if your website is in the sandbox and given you enough information to point you in the right direction.

It’s been 2 months since my last post, I really need to get on it and make sure to keep this blog updated. I’ve been busy with a new software product for the last year and it should be quite amazing. The whole idea behind the link building software that my programmer is creating is to automate the daily process of building links and keep track of the links you’ve created at the same time. I know personally that it’s easy to get lost and frustrated when creating links for search engine optimization.

Now there is a lot of software on the market right now for creating one-way backlinks for your website and most of them use a traditional method of creating links. What they do is they collect URLs that will allow you to comment or create a link for your website and the publish to these URLs. This can be quite an effective method but it is still fairly messy and you really don’t control any of the links or the content from which the link is created.

So what our software will do is really take the effort out of creating a dofollow one way link from related content within a free web 2.0 site that you control. For example, if you’ve noticed there are a lot of affiliate pages on blogger.com, hubpages.com and squidoo.com that rank well in the search engines. These web 2.0 sites allow you to create a free account / free blog and generate your own content with outbound dofollow links. These sites can provide you will free dofollow links with the anchor text of your choosing within related content that will help you rank for your target keyword in the search engines.

Now, our goal isn’t to develop a product that just blasts one-way links to your site but rather a product that creates and manages tens, hundreds or even thousands of personal pages and blogs that link to each other and to you sites that you own. I’ll give you an example so that you can understand where I am coming from and why our software is going to dominate the competition.

Step 1: Create Article
- Copy / Paste 2-3 similiar articles you find on the internet in to our software without making any changes to make it unique

Step 2: Choose your anchor text, add it to the article if it’s not already in there, it will protect this term
- Example: the term niche marketing software pointing to http://nichetitans.com
- You will also be able to add variations to your anchor text while maintaining the same link or using different links

Step 3: Generate tokens (variables) to make the article unique
- Takes the input of 12 paragraphs for example does the following-
- Replace commonly used terms with their synonyms in a spin format, ie: House is replaced with {House|Home|Apartment|Condo}.
- Rotates the paragraphs or the sentences themselves, which may not flow like it should but this is more for link building that anything else, it should still be readable.
- Essentially creating unique related content to host your link

Step 4: Publish your new content
- The software automatically signs up for a free email address (hotmail or yahoo) and popular web 2.0 sites like hubpages, blogger, wordpress, squidoo, etc
- Once you’ve created this unique content you can publish 1 article that has been modified to become unique with synonym replacement and spinning to all these different sites
- In a matter of 30-60 minutes or so you’ve created a new email, 5-30 free blogs / web 2.0 sites, 1 article for each of the websites / pages
- These sites can one-way link to each other and then to your target site, ie: squidoo.com/ and wordpress.com/ -> hubpages.com/ -> nichetitans.com
- This way the links you’re creating have backlinks from other sites potentially giving them a PR1 to PR2 in addition to coming from unique related content

Step 5: Social Bookmarking
- Each new free email account that is created can sign up with social bookmarking services such as digg.com, stumbleupon.com, etc
- These social bookmarking services will allow you to bookmark random URLs or a target site / page of your choosing
- This can become quite powerful after lets say 100+ accounts have been created
- They should all look unique, so lets say 1 day you want some traffic so you bookmark your site on digg 100 times… page 1 probably on digg and some free traffic with it

All of these basic features will allow you to create entire websites / pages that you build and maintain in bulk with little effort. This will allow you to age each one of these sites while creating new unique content to add to the number of pages while aging and adding to the overall link authority of your site. All of these accounts can be aged and added to and updated in the future which is quite amazing.

Other additional link building features will be included.

Feature 1: High PR Forums , DoFollow Forums and Link Directories
- These can be used in quite a few different ways actually, you can create one way links to your homepage of the site you’re ranking in the search engine or to your web 2.0 sites
- Automatically signup on dofollow forums that allow you to use the signature / website field and create an account, some forums will require posting and this can be automated as well

Feature 2: Automated Link Exchange Tool
- Exchanging links with a related site or getting them to give you a link(s) is very effective
- You can query Google / Yahoo for sites of PageRankX or AgeX and pull their email contact data or email contact page
- You can now email all the webmasters of these related sites and ask them if they’d be interested in trading links or giving you a link in exchange for … using this tool on their site?

Feature 3: IP Rotation
- In order to avoid getting your accounts banned on these services you’ll need to rotate your IP address
- The software will support changing your IP using DSL, a wireless card, proxies, and other IP related services

This tool will have a monthly fee but it will be updated all the time to support changes by the websites it supports as well as adding new features.

We should have a free trial within the next 30 days available to all who are interested in our new link building software for search engine optimization.

Exciting news!

If someone close to you is sick the best thing you can provide them with is words of encouragement for a friend or relative. It is important that you give them hope and positive things to think about to keep their mind off being sick, sad, angry, or even depressed.

Providing words of encouragement for a friend as an example

Yesterday I received a comment on my last post entitled marketing trends niche specialization that had a video I had watched during a webinar I attended the other day. To be honest this page title was almost completely irrelevant and a lazy attempt to target a long tail keyword that I really didn’t take the time to research. However, Jay did take the time to comment and I followed his dofollow “make money online” link directly to his blog.

So after visiting his blog I watched a video that he posted yesterday entitled “I Love Living Life I am Happy” which I had to admit is pretty inspirational. I’ve reposted it below so you can watch it right now.

A video full of words of encouragement for a friend or even a stranger

If he can be so happy being born with no legs or no arms and provide words of encouragement for such a large audience, it truly is proof that happiness is on the inside. I’ve always tried to be grateful that I am alive and everything that I have is really a gift.

Quotes from Nick giving words of encouragement for a friend

In the video he gives a few quotes:

“If I fail, I try again, and again, and again..” – Nick Vujicic

“I’ve never met a Bitter person who was Thankful.”

“Or a Thankful person who was Bitter.”

Some of the best words of encouragement for a friend are the ones that really come from the heart. If you really show emotion when you give encouragement it makes such a big difference. Your body language and facial expression is usually very important when you’re giving words of encouragement or even showing that you care.

These are words that should be encouraging to a friend, loved one, relative, or even a stranger. I’ve always been afraid of going blind… would you rather be blind or have no arms and legs? That really would be a tough one for me personally.

On another note this entire post had a secondary motive and that was to attempt to rank for long tail keywords that are relative to this video. I did some basic keyword research using Google’s keyword tool to find what I hope is a low competition long tail keyword. If you don’t know how to use the Google keyword research tool properly then you can watch one of our earlier how to videos to dig further.

words of encouragement for a friend

Ok, so the inspirational keyword was words of encouragement for a friend with an estimated search traffic of about 3,600 people per month. When entering the exact phrase in Google I saw that an article directory, Buzzle, showed up on page 1 spot 1 for this key phrase.

Now eventually I may be able to rank for this inspiration phrase and gain some additional visitors, even if they aren’t really my target audience. If you have 100 posts targeting long tail keywords and each generates 10 visitors per day, that’s an additional 1,000 visitors per day… which should be an easy $10-30 in revenue if not more. Hopefully this gives you an insight on seo and even some help providing words of encouragement for a friend or some else close to you.

I just put together a niche site for myself and scheduled 120 posts over the next few months. Each of these posts is full of unique content and nearly 100% original, not copied and no program was used to re-write the posts before scheduling them to be published. However what I did fail to do is create relative links within each post in order to improve sitewide search engine optimization and help visitors navigate to relative content.

The reason no relative links were used within the content is because I hired a writer to create all of the content so far and schedule it to be published, not because I didn’t think they were necessary. Creating links relative to the content you’re linking to can take some time and planning but should come naturally. Create your links to content within your site that is relative to the topic you’re trying to present. For example, in this article we are talking about how interlinking can improve search engine optimization and in the first paragraph I created anchor text linking to the category of the site relative that topic.

Internal links help your visitors find relative content while improving your seo score at the same time. Typically it’s a good idea to have the same term mentioned on both the url you’re linking to and the url you’re linking from, that way each of the pages have similar content. When you obtain the proper links from relative content from internal or external pages you will be able to improve your seo and hopefully increase your pageviews at the same time. Make sure to use the proper anchor text when using html hyperlinks and try not to overuse the same exact keyword. Google isn’t stupid and if you spam keywords you can lose ranking or even get sandboxed all together.

Now that you have established your niche market, you may be looking for better ideas of how to direct traffic back to your site, but I will tell you that tried and true SEO tips work every time. I have for you the top 3 SEO guidelines that you must know as a niche marketer so that you can draw maximum traffic to your site in the shortest amount of time. If you are looking to expand your niche market and reach all of your target audience, then these are the perfect tips for you to utilize the relatively free force that is SEO for more results with less work. Perfect!

Write a unique META description for each page: Make sure that you are adding a unique META description to each of your pages and not just using the same ones since that will be seen as duplicate content to Google search engines. These page descriptions will not give you a better page rank, so you don’t need to load them full of keywords, but they will make your site more user friendly so that your traffic is more apt to click through these pages.

Give Every Page Original Content: No matter what you are peddling in your niche market site, it is incredibly worth it to take the time and effort to give every one of your pages its own original content with their own natural keywords within them. So if you are selling pages of cowboy boots, then you can have about 200 words of content per page, as well as using the specific type of boot within the text as the keyword. You can also link back to your own pages from your additional content, so that there are no past pages, such as blogs, that are getting moved back into an archive status. You want every page within your site to not only have original content but to be within a few short links back to your home page.

Optimize the Titles of Your Pages: Your title will be where it’s at for you in carrying the weight to rank for your keywords, so that is where you need to make sure that you are optimizing your keywords. Do not make your title more than around 70 characters, and it will be most helpful if you have already researched the targeted keywords for your niche site. You need to make sure that the keywords that you are targeting are something that is already being searched for so that your scope is not too narrow in your niche marketing.

If I have said it once, I have said it 100 times- SEO strategies are vast, and these methods are just the tip of the iceberg. If you are looking to target your own niche audience that are looking for the top brands in men’s and women’s cowboy boots, for example, then put these ideas into play so that you are making sure that your site is utilizing prime SEO tactics to draw more traffic and rank you even higher. Be sure to also focus on making things descriptive so that your users have an easier time quickly navigating your page, becaue studies have proven that the more user friendly that your site is, the better! That is obviously why you are targeting the niche you are in, so make sure that your visitors feel comf0rtable and at home so they can come back again and again. You cannot go wrong!

For those of you out there who may be beginners in internet marketing and SEO, or even for those experts who have tried every option, here are a few easy tips to improve your SEO and add to the ranking of your site. These are basic strategies that should be able to be used to enhance and advance your site and bring you to the top. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

1. Impeccable Content: One of the main things that we have stressed over and over is to focus on quality content full of your primary keywords and phrases so that your site will always be seen by Google. If you are using other methods to manipulate your ranking, then you must know that those may fall out from under you as time goes on, but having solid content is something that you can always rely on. So, if you are specializing in a site selling cell phone accessories, then pump up your site with articles and pages of blogs on the latest cell phone covers and the top chargers for each cell phone brand. Make sure that it too is factual and informative so that it will not only create content for you but will really cause people to link back to you as a valid resource.

2. Quality Links: As we all well know, links need to be our second focus on the list. That’s why we are all here, right? Look to build a large amount of quality backlinks using your keywords as the link. But one thing to keep in mind is if there is no relevant reason for a site to be linking to you, then you should avoid it. Quality!

3. Add More Fresh Content: Back to the subject of content… Not only do you need a solid amount of content for your site, but you need to stay vigilant in constantly adding fresh content so that you stay on the radar of the search engines as an in demand and knowledgeable site. Fresh content can add to how well you rank, and this may even be something for you to think about outsourcing to a skilled blogger or article writer as your business grows.

4. Get Found Locally: Not only do you need to hit the market of the world wide web, but you mustn’t neglect all of the people available to you in your home front! I can think of an example of a site in my area that began to boom online, and then they suddenly had people showing up at their address to find out more about their services! They then had to change the storefront of their business to allow customers and still focus on their internet demand. The best of both worlds- you can’t beat that! So focus on search phrases and not just keywords that also have the name of your city and company, like “the best Dallas cell phone accessory retailer”. That way, when people in your area are looking for cell phone accessories, they are automatically drawn to you!

These are just a few easy tips to either help you understand better or remind you of the basics that still work. The building blocks of SEO should not be neglected in place of fancier tactics, because while the latter do have their own results, these easy tips are proven to work every time. Another point is that these tips will be the most reliable way to take your site to the top and may take some time and investment. In other words, if you are looking for a get rich quick scheme, keep right on lookin’.

So you have taken the plunge and started a blog on your site that will increase your page rank and cause you to rank even higher- good for you. Now before you get too excited and start to kick back, there are some blogging traffic strategies that you may want to know to help you even more in this game we call niche marketing.

You may be shocked to know that getting traffic for a blog is different than getting traffic for most other websites in that the blogging technology is full of social elements that are integrated into the results of the blog itself.

One way of marketing your site is to make connections. Your blog will be more about creating an internet buzz or giving people some water cooler talk about a certain topic, relating to your site and business, of course.

Here is a breakdown of how the social means of blogging works. If you started a blog on your site about hair care products, then know that your readers can easily begin to subscribe to your blogs through RSS and feed readers. They can then be updated every time that you publish the blog. Another fun fact is that many of your blog readers will probably be bloggers themselves, and often with a large following. So, if they decide to link to one of your blogs, then it can have a delightful domino affect of being viewed by all of their readers, opening a whole other door to you and expanding your market. Another thing to try on for size is that a popular blog will probably have reader feedback, like users asking you for answers about what hair care product would be best for their hair type, which will give you some new and unique content that your page can rank for in addition. An easy bonus!

Basically, what you are trying to go for in optimizing your blog is to spread the word about your topic and business and get a loyal following of people to give you their attention, rather than matching search relevancy algorithms by optimizing page copy. It can be done! There are several sites out there like WordPress and Blogger where you can host your blog, but I would advise against it. You are so much better off starting your own domain name with a reputable host, that way you can build your audience at a much faster pace without some of the limits of the sites mentioned.

From there, it is time to get creative. You need to brainstorm and find some content ideas for your blog that will catch the public’s eye and draw traffic to your blog. Utilize social news sites like The Digg to see what is the latest among social bookmarkers, and you can tie that to your business and blog so that what you are posting is relevant, catchy, and in demand. Many people will also use their own social media networks, like Twitter or Facebook, to update their followers on their latest blog posting so that you can have even more people flooding your site. Again, back to one of my past examples of connecting to people in social media circles as you would at a party, be sure to really relate to your followers on Twitter or elsewhere so that you are not simply popping in every day to plug your blog and only your blog. Users will get disinterested in that real quick. SEO blogging is under the same umbrella as all of the other niche marketing startegies- meaning you need to remain genuine to get the results you are looking for.
