Best WordPress Theme for Landing Pages and Affiliate Sites
If you’re involved with affiliate marketing or niche marketing, you know that setting up a website is key to maximizing your profits (as opposed to just sending people to the affiliate offer directly.) Here are a few of the reasons why creating your own site is important:
- SEO – You can’t optimize the advertisers website or landing pages for the search engines using your affiliate link. However, if you create your own site using your own domain name you can optimize it and benefit from the free traffic the search engines provide.
- Testing – You can’t change anything on the affiliate offer site, so you aren’t able to see what conversion rate works best. Continually testing and optimizing your landing pages and affiliate sites appearance allows you to maximize your earnings.
- Ownership – If you spend a bunch of time bringing traffic directly to an affiliate offer and the advertiser ends the promotion… you’re screwed. Now if you spend your time bringing traffic to YOUR site or landing page instead of directly to the advertiser you’ll be able to replace the old affiliate offer with a new offer provided by the same advertiser or a new advertiser.
Example: Replace “Free Apple iPod Nano” with “Free Apple iPod Touch” or “Free Macbook Pro”
It’s obvious that having your own site or landing page to promote an offer and convert traffic (ie: entering their e-mail address or zip code) will not only increase your conversion rate but help you create an asset as an affiliate. Setting up and creating your own affiliate sites is time consuming and even though it’s cliche… “Time = Money.” If you’re spending too much time setting up your site or landing page you’re really only burning extra time you could be using to market your site, build links and generate traffic.

Those are nice themes! Like the way they can be changed to look completely different.
Those are pretty cool! I like all of customization.
I don’t want to be the wet blanket here, R.J.– but am I the only one who finds those subjects (in the displayed themes) very cliched & bordering on the idiotic? I know they are there just for being an example, but I’m just saying………yuck!
Yet those are the subjects that are making people tons and tons of money.
There are two ways to approach niches:
1) Your job – You’re a perfect example of that… you’re a Sacramento DJ, so targeting keywords gets you gigs and therefore gets you money.
2) As an affiliate – Being an affiliate for someone else is another reason to approach a niche. By targetting keywords for specific niche, you can get traffic, and then try to sell them someone else’s product and get cash that way. Although Acai Berry, Dating, Ringtones are all pretty played out, they still pay pretty well, and so people go for those niches. Therefore, The Affiliate Theme owners felt it’d be good to showcase their theme with niches that they figure a lot of people are in.
Since you do work from home (at least the marketing aspect of your job), and since you know how to get sites to the top of the search engines, you should pick a niche, find some affiliate products in that niche, create a site, and then market that site like you do your own site, and make some extra cash passively (once you’ve reached the top of the search engines for your keywords)
