What is Twitter: Should I use Twitter and How Do I use Twitter
I have to admit that I used to be one of the people that was beginning to feel skeptical and failing to see the importance of the use of social circles on the internet. My narrow view was that if I needed that many friends, I could just call all of the people who I hardly even have the time to talk to that are under contact list in my phone. What I was failing to realize is that social media marketing encompasses these social circles, like Facebook, Quidzilla, and Twitter, and helps you to branch out in the business world, even more so than just finding more groups of friends online.
Basically, Twitter is set up with the same method as Myspace or Facebook, where you can start your own profile and find people you may already know and new people with like interests. Perfect for someone looking to get their website off the ground or looking for more exposure to their blogs. That is what Twitter is all about. You have to liken it to being at a party and taking the opportunity to meet and greet many strangers and acquaintances that you may want to get to know better.
If you look at the Twitter set-up, you will see that every profile has “followers” and “following”. You may also notice that there are people you come across who appear to be Twitter gods with twenty to thirty thousand followers (And this does exclude the celebrities like John Mayer who have over 300,000 followers- my God.). These people are just like you and me, except they have used their knowledge to turn Twitter into a mecca of social media marketing.
So how do you do that, you might ask? It is fairly simple but does involve a little bit of effort and personality on your part. To go back to the party example, you need to find people with your like interests that you can make a connection with, similar to passing out your business card as you strike up a conversation at an actual event. However, this is all virtual, so you can look under the “Find People” section of Twitter and begin searching through users that may have the same interests as the site you are promoting. In an earlier post we created a video for you on using twitter search to find your target audience on twitter.
Once you find people who share your interests, make an effort to connect with them because you do not want to be brushed off as a spammer or shameless marketer. This whole scene is about people getting to know each other and sharing their businesses. What you can do to get social with people is to make a reply to any of their “tweets” (which is twitter speak for comments) and strike up a small banter or conversation. After that, you can opt to follow them, and they will in turn follow you.
Social media marketing allows you to gain exposure while promoting your business and assists you in building successful relationships you probably wouldn’t have without it. Utilize the opportunity that is available in Twitter and other like sites, and you’ll be surprised how many people you’re interested in or have an interest in you! All of your social media friends or followers will visit your site or blog and maybe even refer their friends.
Best WordPress Theme for Landing Pages and Affiliate Sites
Filed under: General Marketing, Make Money Online, Niche Marketing
If you’re involved with affiliate marketing or niche marketing, you know that setting up a website is key to maximizing your profits (as opposed to just sending people to the affiliate offer directly.) Here are a few of the reasons why creating your own site is important:
- SEO – You can’t optimize the advertisers website or landing pages for the search engines using your affiliate link. However, if you create your own site using your own domain name you can optimize it and benefit from the free traffic the search engines provide.
- Testing – You can’t change anything on the affiliate offer site, so you aren’t able to see what conversion rate works best. Continually testing and optimizing your landing pages and affiliate sites appearance allows you to maximize your earnings.
- Ownership – If you spend a bunch of time bringing traffic directly to an affiliate offer and the advertiser ends the promotion… you’re screwed. Now if you spend your time bringing traffic to YOUR site or landing page instead of directly to the advertiser you’ll be able to replace the old affiliate offer with a new offer provided by the same advertiser or a new advertiser.
Example: Replace “Free Apple iPod Nano” with “Free Apple iPod Touch” or “Free Macbook Pro”
It’s obvious that having your own site or landing page to promote an offer and convert traffic (ie: entering their e-mail address or zip code) will not only increase your conversion rate but help you create an asset as an affiliate. Setting up and creating your own affiliate sites is time consuming and even though it’s cliche… “Time = Money.” If you’re spending too much time setting up your site or landing page you’re really only burning extra time you could be using to market your site, build links and generate traffic.
What if there was a way to easily setup affiliate sites and landing pages? No matter the offer or the layout you’re looking for, being able to easily setup an affiliate site or landing page can help any of us save time and increase our profits.

How to Get More Twitter Followers: Using Twitter Search
Now in order to get more followers on Twitter you need to provide people with a reason to follow you. This can’t be done by following every single person you can find on twitter and hoping they follow you back but you can still get more followers this way. That is not only really time consuming but you’re really not building relationships with any of your followers if all you’re doing is adding them at random.
Instead of only aiming for more twitter followers you can build a relationship with your followers and gain their trust. You can do this by just getting to know them by telling them what fruit is in season or maybe linking them to an upgrade for internet explorer. When you’re able to gain the trust of your twitter followers it won’t be difficult to convert them in to customers.
